While the festive season is a time of joy and celebration for many, for patients in hospital it can be a challenging period away from the comforts of home, family, and friends. Hope and Mind at LSCFT is calling on local communities to help bring a little Christmas magic to those in the care of Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust (LSCFT) through our Christmas Gift Appeal.
Your support could make a real difference to someone spending Christmas in one of their hospitals across Lancashire and South Cumbria. From babies in the Mother and Baby Unit to older patients staying in older adult and dementia wards, together we can make this special time of year brighter and special for everyone.
Julie-Anne Weaver, Fundraising Manager at Hope and Mind at LSCFT explains:
“Christmas can be a challenging time for many people especially those who find themselves in hospital, so we want to spread some festive cheer and help our patients feel loved and valued. Whether you give a monetary donation so we can purchase suitable gifts or donate your own unwrapped gift every donation is appreciated and helps spread joy at this traditional time of giving.”
Whether you choose to make a monetary donation or donate items such as toys for babies, colouring sets for young patients, or toiletries, socks, and slippers for adults - together we can bring smiles at this traditional time of sharing.
You can support the Hope and Mind Christmas Gift Appeal by donating online or if you are considering a gift in kind or to arrange a drop off then please contact the Charity Team by emailing lscftcharity@lscft.nhs.uk or call 07779 457 117.
