Chief Executive, Chris Oliver, is lacing up his running shoes this spring to raise money and awareness for the Trust charity, Hope and Mind at LSCFT.
Chris will be taking on the Liverpool Half Marathon on Sunday 15 March 2026, raising money for Hope and Mind at LSCFT. The charity funds the meaningful extras that go above and beyond what the NHS can provide, including wellbeing spaces, therapeutic activities and support for colleagues.
Reflecting on why he decided to take on this challenge, Chris shared:
“As Chief Executive of the Trust, I have the privilege of seeing every day the incredible impact our teams make across mental health, learning disability, autism and physical health community services. I also see how much more we can do when our charity is able to help us go that little bit further for service users, their families and our colleagues.”
Chris began running for the first time last summer. What started as a simple way to stay active quickly became something he enjoyed, even if some runs still feel like a test of determination. Since then, he has already completed a 10K and set himself the longer-term goal of running a full marathon. But first, the half marathon awaits.
Chris continues:
“On 15 March, I’ll be taking on the Liverpool Half Marathon, raising funds for our brilliant charity. If you’re able to donate, no matter how big or small, it genuinely will make a difference. And if you can’t donate, a share, a message of support or even a bit of encouragement for the training miles would be hugely appreciated.”
